Sports betting in the Philippines: football, boxing and the rest

Gamting's sportsbook lets you bet from the Philippines on a peso balance, across basketball, football, boxing, volleyball and more. Pick a sport, choose a match, add a selection and enter your stake in ₱. Basketball has its own NBA and PBA guide, so this page focuses on everything else, mainly football and fight nights. Strictly for adults 18 and over.

Football on Manila time

Football keeps strange times for us. A Saturday 3:00 PM Premier League kickoff in England is 11:00 PM in Manila during the UK winter and 10:00 PM in their summer. Champions League nights are worse: a 9:00 PM start in Europe lands at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM PHT, depending on the season. That's why our board lists every match in Philippine Time. No mental maths at midnight.

Closer to home there's the Philippines Football League, with clubs like Kaya FC-Iloilo, and the Filipinas gave the whole country a moment in 2023 when they beat co-hosts New Zealand 1-0 in Wellington at the Women's World Cup. Local football doesn't get the same crowds as basketball, but the fans it has are serious.

The football markets you'll see most

A football match comes with a long list of markets. Most bettors stick to a handful.

  • 1X2. Home win (1), draw (X) or away win (2), judged on regular time including stoppage time. Extra time and penalties don't count unless the market says so.
  • Double chance. Two of the three outcomes in one bet, like home or draw. Lower payout, fewer ways to lose.
  • Over/under goals. Total goals against a line such as 2.5. Three or more goals means over wins.
  • Both teams to score. Yes or no. The final score doesn't matter, only whether each side found the net.
  • Handicap. One team starts with a goal head start or deficit, which turns a lopsided match into a closer price.

Markets differ from match to match, so open the fixture and read what's offered before you build anything.

Singles or a parlay?

A single is one selection. A parlay, also called a multi or accumulator, joins several selections and multiplies the odds. Three picks at 1.70 each come to about 4.91, so ₱200 would return roughly ₱982 if all three win. One miss and the whole slip loses. Parlays look tempting on Saturday night, but each extra leg adds another way for it to go wrong.

Fight nights

Boxing has a special place here. Pacquiao turned big fights into family events, and Filipino champions like Nonito Donaire kept that going. Big cards in the US usually run on a Saturday night over there, so the main events reach us on Sunday, often around midday PHT. Undercards come earlier, and the main event's ring walk can slip back if earlier fights go long.

How boxing bets settle

  1. Fight winner. Pick a boxer. A draw is usually its own outcome, so a winner bet loses if the fight is scored even.
  2. Method of victory. Knockout or stoppage, decision, or a draw. The KO bet needs the fight to end early for your pick.
  3. Round betting. You pick the boxer and the exact round, or a group of rounds, in which the fight ends.
  4. Goes the distance. Yes if it reaches the final bell and goes to the cards, no if anyone gets stopped.

Read the settlement rules on each market. If a fight is cancelled or a fighter is replaced, the rules decide whether your bet is voided, and they can differ by market.

A Saturday night, start to finish

Here's how a normal weekend can look. At 8:00 PM you check the 10:00 PM Premier League game and put ₱150 on over 2.5 goals at 1.95. At 11:00 PM there's a second match, and you take both teams to score for ₱100 at 1.75. Then you stop. If both land, you get back ₱467.50 from ₱250. If neither does, you're out ₱250, which was the plan for the night anyway. On Sunday the fight card comes in around lunch, and that has its own budget, not whatever's left from Saturday.

Volleyball and the other sports

Volleyball has a loyal following here, from the PVL to UAAP season, and international volleyball shows up on the board too. Tennis, esports and other sports appear depending on the calendar. If you follow a sport closely, that's usually where your edge in knowledge is. Betting on sports you don't follow is mostly guesswork with odds attached.

Before you confirm a slip

  • Check the stake in pesos, then check it again. An extra zero turns ₱100 into ₱1,000.
  • Look at the odds on the slip. If they changed since you tapped, the slip says so.
  • Know whether the match is pre-game or in-play. In-play prices move with every goal, card or knockdown.
  • Never place a bet because someone in a chat group says it's a lock. No bet is.

Money in, money out

Your sportsbook balance is in PHP. You top it up with USDT on TRON (TRC20) or USDC on Polygon, and it converts to pesos at the rate shown before you send. The deposit guide explains the network part. Withdrawals go to your own USDT or USDC wallet, every request is reviewed, and you can track it in your history.

New players get ₱100 as a welcome bonus with the first deposit, plus a first-deposit bonus, no code needed. Happy Hours can add up to 50% on a deposit made inside the daily window, which runs on local time. The Telegram channel drops a bonus code every hour for a limited number of players, and you enter it on your dashboard within 15 minutes after depositing. Wagering and minimum odds rules apply to bonus funds, and they're listed on the Philippines promotions page.

Bet like a fan, not a gambler on a mission

Set your weekly sports budget on payday and treat it as spent. Don't raise stakes to win back a loss, and skip betting when you're angry about a result. The responsible gambling page has more on keeping control.

Sign up with a peso account when you're ready, and check the Philippines home page for the week's fixtures in PHT.

Common Questions

Do football bets include extra time and penalties?

Standard markets like 1X2, over/under and both teams to score settle on regular time, meaning the full match plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts only count on markets that say so, such as To Qualify or To Lift the Trophy. Check the market name in a knockout game before you bet, since the difference decides how a draw settles.

What happens to my boxing bet if the fight is postponed?

It depends on the settlement rules for that market. In many cases a fight that doesn't take place within a set window is voided and the stake is returned to your peso balance. A late opponent change can also void bets. You'll find the exact rule in the market details, so read it before betting on a card that looks shaky.

Can I bet on the Philippines Football League?

PFL matches appear on the board when they're scheduled and markets are offered for them. Coverage of smaller leagues can be lighter than for the Premier League, with fewer markets per match. Search for the league or the club in the sportsbook to see what's listed, and remember that times are already shown in PHT.

Why did the odds change when I placed my bet?

Prices move with news, money coming in and, during a match, every goal or knockdown. If the price shifts between your tap and your confirmation, the bet slip shows the new odds and asks you to accept them. Read the new price carefully. You're never forced to take it, and you can simply remove the selection.

Is a draw possible in boxing betting?

Yes. Judges can score a fight level, and boxing markets usually list the draw as its own outcome. That means a bet on either fighter to win loses if the result is a draw, unless the market is a draw no bet type that refunds in that case. It's one of the reasons boxing odds can look different from basketball odds.
