When Is Zambia's Next Match? Chipolopolo v Burundi Date and Venue
Zambia's next match is against Burundi on Friday 13 November 2026 at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, an AFCON 2027 qualifier in Group I. FAZ has confirmed the date and the venue, but we haven't seen a kick-off time yet. The return in Burundi is listed for 15 November on fixture sites, though those same sites still carry an old 11 November date for the Lusaka game, so treat it as unconfirmed.
When does Zambia play Burundi?
You've probably seen 11 November too. Lusaka Times gave that date after the Togo game in September, and several fixture sites still show it. The newer word comes from FAZ itself, reported on 29 October: Zambia and Burundi meet on the 13th, Match Day Three.
| Date | Match | Venue | Kick-off | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fri 13 Nov | Zambia v Burundi | Heroes, Lusaka | TBC | FAZ confirmed |
| Date TBC | Burundi v Zambia | Burundi, ground TBC | TBC | Listed for 15 Nov |
We'll add both kick-off times here as soon as FAZ or CAF publish them. There's one thing you won't need to work out. Burundi and Zambia share a clock, so whatever time you see for Bujumbura is also your time in Lusaka, Kitwe or Ndola.
Why was the Burundi game moved from Ndola to Lusaka?
Because Heroes passed its inspection. CAF sent a technical team to the stadium from 19 to 22 October, then wrote to FAZ on 28 October granting it temporary Category 3 approval for November. General secretary Charles Chakatazya said the ground meets the key requirements for CAF and FIFA matches, though CAF has flagged outstanding concerns ahead of a further assessment.
Ndola had its own bad night in September. The floodlights at Levy Mwanawasa failed in the 20th minute against Togo, and the game stopped for 18 minutes. Fans in Lusaka get the next one instead, and Heroes also hosts the Zambia U23 Olympic qualifier against Burkina Faso on 15 November.
Where is Zambia in AFCON 2027 qualifying Group I?
Second on goal difference after two rounds. Zambia lost 3-1 in Algiers on 25 September, then beat Togo 2-0 four days later. Albert Kangwanda scored after two minutes, and substitute Eliya Mandanji added the second deep in stoppage time.
| Team | P | W | D | L | GD | Pts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Algeria | 2 | 1 | 1 | 0 | +2 | 4 |
| Zambia | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 3 |
| Togo | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | -1 | 3 |
| Burundi | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 | -1 | 1 |
The other results: Togo 1-0 Burundi and Burundi 2-2 Algeria. That draw is worth a second look before you write Burundi off, because they led Algeria by two goals in Bujumbura.
What does Zambia need from the two Burundi games?
Unlike Groups D, H and L, where a host nation takes one spot, Group I sends its top two to the finals. So Zambia is chasing a real place, with four games left. This is how each outcome changes the total. It's only arithmetic, not a forecast.
| Zambia against Burundi | Points added | Zambia total |
|---|---|---|
| Win both | 6 | 9 |
| Win one, draw one | 4 | 7 |
| Win one, lose one | 3 | 6 |
| Draw both | 2 | 5 |
| Draw one, lose one | 1 | 4 |
| Lose both | 0 | 3 |
The other tie matters too. Algeria and Togo play each other twice in the same window, with the first game reported for 14 November, so those two can't both take six points. By the end of November the most Togo could reach is 9 and the most Algeria could reach is 10. The last two rounds come in the 22 to 30 March 2027 window, when Zambia meets Algeria and Togo again. Dates aren't out, and neither team shares our clock, so keep this handy:
| Opponent | Clock against Lusaka | If it's 7:00 PM there, Zambia shows |
|---|---|---|
| Burundi | Same time | 7:00 PM |
| Algeria | 1 hour behind | 8:00 PM |
| Togo | 2 hours behind | 9:00 PM |
Who could be in the Chipolopolo squad?
We haven't seen George Lwandamina's November list. His 27-man squad for September is the best guide so far: Fashion Sakala as captain, Lameck Banda, Gamphani Lungu of Orlando Pirates and Joseph Liteta of Cagliari. Ackim Mumba, Cletus Chama and Lubambo Musonda were all left out. Kings Kangwa missed both September games with a four-match CAF ban from AFCON 2025, so he's the name to check when the list comes out. How do you get USDT in Zambia?
Gamting Zambia takes crypto only, which is simpler than it sounds. Most players start from kwacha like this:
- Open an account on a crypto exchange that has a peer-to-peer market.
- Pick a seller quoting USDT in kwacha, and pay them by the method they list, usually mobile money or bank transfer.
- Once the USDT is in your exchange wallet, copy your deposit address from the Gamting cashier.
- Withdraw from the exchange and choose the TRC20 network. A different network can lose you the coins.
Check the seller's rating and the rate before paying, because rates differ between sellers. Your balance on our side shows in kwacha. There's a longer walk-through in our USDT and USDC deposit guide, and USDC on Polygon works as well. Withdrawal requests are reviewed, then sent to your wallet once approved.
